    Giant top bed!

    I have purchased 6 cat trees over the years from New Cat Condos. Some have been better than others with the quality of carpet. Was impressed with this one. I do wish they used thicker, sturdier rope. The square bed is larger than I thought it would be. You could easily fit 2 average sized cats (let's say 10 pounds) on the top bed, and even 3 smaller cats. The height of the tree is nice to keep in the main living spaces because it is not so tall that it is unsightly. The top bed sits at a nice window height. We have this tunnel sitting next to the 'spiral stairwell with perch' and they sit next to each other nicely, against the window. If you have large windows, your cat cat sit inside the top tunnel and look outside. Highly recommend - wasn't expecting this one to be my favorite!

    My cat loves this tower and the tube options. Very well constructed, heavy enough that cat can’t tip it over. This is our second tower, this time we opted for the rope scratching posts!

    This is 10-star quality and the only reason I dropped a star is because the tunnels should have extended out just a couple of inches so the cat could have something to grab on to as a jumping platform to the next level. It's awkward & difficult for my cat to get past the 2nd level & he sometimes falls trying - he's only a year old, but you would have to see it to understand. My cat is about 12 lbs and can turn in the tunnels, albeit a bit tight, but he has plenty of room to lay comfortably inside. He doesn't seem to care for the square scratching post. I ordered grey, but the color looks beige to me, same as with their other stands so at least they all match. The quality is 100% back - meaning no sharp staples, no strong carpet smell, no thick glue blotches, & no bald spots in the carpet. I like that I didn't have to put it together, and it's designed for a larger cat. My guy is really enjoying the tunnels.!

    The only problem with this tower is that the base is not level. It wobbles so much that I had to put 2 bricks on the bottom to keep it stable and not wobble. My cats love it and are on it all the time.

    Not as good as older versions of this tree

    This is the 4th time I've purchased this condo over many years. I have several large cats and two can fit on the top of this condo at one time. They use all of the tubes as well and scratch the vertical posts. Their favorite scratching place is along the top rim of the bed. And this is where the problem arises. This new condo uses a poorer quality carpet, so it frays easier. The carpet on that top bed won't last long. And the unit is not constructed as well as older units. There were long carpet threads hanging out on all of the seams, and the unit does not sit flat on the floor. It wobbles. My new condo is blue and thus was a custom order, so I don't know if that is the reason for the poorer construction. But I'm not happy. I think this is a great condo, and I'll order again, but I hope the company improves its manufacturing practices before I need to buy another one.
