    The carpet had too strong of a chemical smell to it. If this is made in the USA I’d expect the carpet to be from the USA as well. Also, I cannot tighten it completely because the towers are too close to each other.

    We've got a 1-year-young cat that we "inherited" from our son (Mango didn't get along with his earlier cat, and ended up being confined to one room most of the time). When Mango came to us, I knew that I wanted him to be an indoor-only cat, so I researched on the net what it would take to keep him healthy and happy. There's a lot that goes into that, but one of the clear lessons was to provide a range of opportunities for play and exercise. Enter the Deluxe Cat Tower. The fact that it has no ramps and the levels are about farther apart than other models means that Mango is stretching, climbing, and jumping as a matter of course. The "cat cave" on level 3 has become a favorite spot for self-play and general rambunctiousness, as well a his favorite stretching/relaxation spot (he frequently is hanging out both ends). The "crows nest" on level 4 is his place to keep an eye on things while staying mostly hidden, or to take lengthy naps. We've had the Tower for about three weeks, and it's been fun to watch his confidence grow as he explores new ways of climbing up to the two upper levels--it's as if he's intentionally challenging himself to find more difficult routes to follow. His acrobatics for getting from inside the cat cave to the top and back again have become both amazing and hilarious as he's gotten bolder. To get more use out of levels 1 and 2, I've hung a few dangling toys for him to bat around and wrestle with from the bottom of the cat cave and the level 2 platform. Combined with his other favorite playthings, Mango can keep himself active for 10-20 minutes at a time, racing around the house from one thing to another (interval training, I guess), with the Tower as his home base. It's also true that the materials and construction quality appear to be very good (no issues so far), and it was certainly easy to assemble. Highly recommended for younger cats and middle-aged cats with no mobility issues.

    The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because the workmanship on our tower is sloppy. There are gaps in the carpeting and sisal rope at the connections, which don't show in the model of the tree. The kitties love playing on it and hanging out, but I just wish that once screwed in it would be flush with the material.

    I bought the pink cat tree! Looks great with my light colored apartment! It is also easy to assemble and sturdy to use. My 13lb boys have no issue climbing up and down. They love it!

    This is the Second Tall Tower I have purchased from New Cat Condos. The first one we decided to retire to our bedroom from the first floor as the carpeted posts had become quite shredded and somewhat of an eyesore. We ordered this one with all sisal rope posts so it would retain a clean look for a longer period of time. So far, the cats absolutely love it (as they do the original one) and spend hours climbing, playing, and sleeping on/in it. I was somewhat surprised that it was "some assembly required", whereas the original came as a solid, huge piece. In retrospect, however, it makes sense as the original was a bit difficult to drag inside by myself. Still, set up/assembly was very easy and was up and ready to go within minutes. As with the original, this is solidly built and I expect it to last for years to come.

    Perfect fit for our large cat. He is not scared to climb up on it, as it is very sturdy and stable. He has been enjoying his new space with our smaller cat. The carpet and rope are strong materials and holding up well. It was very easy to put together. No tools required. I got it on a great sale and is definitely worth the money. I would buy it again but I think it will be several years before I will need to replace it.

    There are some pros and cons with this cat tower as there are with many things on the market. From my experience my cat loves it and probably would love it more if it were higher. I like the fact that this is made from wood and carpet. It's easy to vacuum. It's easy to put together once arrival. Just screw everything on, which takes literally 5 mins or less. I'm finding that it's not as sturdy as anticipated. It's wobbly at the top but this may be a hight issue and could use a little more bracing maybe even on another post for support. I've found there are carpet strings appearing the more our fur baby climbs and plays on the tunnel, which may be becuase the location of the seams. I would suggest the seams be on the underside of the circle/tunnel portion instead of the inside. As this becomes visible, our cat thinks it's a string toy and we are constantly cutting them off. So far she loves the top 2 areas and doesn't use the bottom 2 areas at all. Overall, I think it's a great and keeps our baby from scratching/climbing our couches. I would definitely recommend this for cat lovers as it's the best carpeted tower I've found in the market.

    My 2 cats love it. They climb it like a tree. Sleep on it, play on it. Very well made. Very Sturdy, Easy to assemble. Attractive. Platforms are large enough for a larger cat. Well worth the money. Carpet sheds a bit at first like all new carpet. I vacuumed it to get up the loose threads. Highly recommended.
